DESCRIPTION:Join us on May 24\, 2025 from 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM for an evening of live music\, community\, and a cause that matters (and beer + snacks). Seriously\, what more could you ask for? Get your tickets today! \nWhat is Songs for the Sound all about?\nSongs for the Sound is Tofino Resort + Marina’s 2nd annual fundraiser for the conservation and restoration of Clayoquot Sound. Get it? The bands will be playing live music (songs) while we fundraise for Clayoquot Sound (sound). \nThrough ticket sales\, food and drinks\, a silent auction\, and donations\, we will raise money for the Clayoquot Sustainability Fund\, a cause that is close to our hearts and is at the root of Tofino Resort + Marina’s mission: Integrity\, Passion\, Sustainability. \nWe know what you’re all wondering… which bands are playing this year?\nLast year\, we featured Jasmine Paradis\, Red Entropy and Benjamin Taggart\, and it was an absolute blast! However\, we have a special treat in store for you this year. \nThis year\, we are excited to feature this energy-bringing group of Vancouver Island locals. This is how this year’s line up is going to pan out: \n\n4:00PM – Grace Desbarats\n4:50PM – Orion’s Fanny Pack\n5:40PM – Ying Yang Clan\n6:20PM – Clanna Morna\n8:00PM – Fede Vilchez + Timmy Boom Bap\nDJ Della will play between sets\n\nYou’re in for an extra treat this year as we’re bringing our space to life with live art by Vanessa St-Yves\, who will transform one of our concrete walls into a vibrant mural showcasing the wonders of the coastal ecosystem and the distinctive character of TRM. \nNow let’s talk about the reason behind the fun: the Clayoquot Sustainability Fund\nThe Clayoquot Sustainability Fund\, established by Tofino Resort + Marina in collaboration with the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust (CBT)\, is a donor-directed initiative aimed at preserving and enhancing the natural ecosystems and wildlife of Clayoquot Sound. \nThrough contributions from both the resort and its guests\, the fund supports keystone initiatives focused on conservation\, restoration\, education\, and research within the UNESCO Biosphere Region. \nThe following organizations are previous beneficiaries of the Clayoquot Sustainability Fund: \n\nRaincoast Education Society\nRedd Fish Restoration Society\nMaaqutusiis Hahoulthee Stewardship Society\nTofino Salmon Enhancement Society\n\nIn conclusion… come hang out with us!
